Despite huge successes recorded by All Progressives Congress (APC) in the last elections in Adamawa State, the member representing Demsa Constituency in the state House of Assembly, Hon. Lusamani Dilli, has bragged that the APC will never win in the forthcoming bye election into the Numan, Lamurde and Demsa Federal Constituency, ordered by the Court of Appeal Abuja Division, recently.
Dilli premise his assertion on the claims that the APC has so far “not done anything tangible to win the votes of his people in the forthcoming (bye) election.”
The deputy minority leader in the state Legislature maintained that his constituency would remain in the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in support of the tenets of “true democracy.”
He also refuted claims of PDP members decamping to APC for greener pastures: “I want to tell you that there is no such a thing in my own area; it is just an attempt to create an unnecessary political tension. Besides what it is that APC has done that will warrant my people to decamp in the zone? They have nothing to show in my own area that will even make them to win in this coming rerun election.”
Dilli stated that he was always mindful of his role as a lawmaker sent by his people to do their biddings, as he currently has two relevant bills awaiting laws that would benefits the people of the state.
He maintained his would always be a PDP stalwart and that he would mobilise his constituent to vote for PDP en masse in the forthcoming rerun election.
