Nurses Lament State Of Nasarawa Nursing School

The leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Nasarawa state chapter has expressed concern over the current backwardness of the state school of nursing.
Newly elected chairman of the association, Comrade Shawullu Bawa Tammah, who spoke with newsmen recently in Lafia, said the school was almost at the point of been closed down by the regulatory body of nursing institutions in the country.
According to him, the school which was established several years ago has not been accredited due to lack of facilities, stressing that admission into the institution has since been stopped some years ago.
He said the scenario has contributed immensely to the problem of shortage of nurses in the state.
Comrade Tammah, who called on the state government to save the school from total collapse, promised to accord welfare of his members top priority in the course of his administration.
