The National Summit on the Integration of Artisanal/Modular Refinery Operations into the Downstream Oil and Gas earlier scheduled to hold on Abuja on 24th -25th November, 2020 has been postponed.

According to a statement by Media Adviser to SSA-President, Niger Delta Affairs, Edet Ekepenyong, “the postponement is due to the fact that the date is conflicting with that of the 26th Nigeria Economic Summit Group (NESG) scheduled to hold the same day.”

The statement added: “The Organisers also regret any inconvenience this postponement would cause and encourage all invitees, resources person as well as sponsors to be patient while they consult with stakeholders for an alternative date.

“The objective of the summit is to provide a platform for key stakeholders in Government, Organized Private Sector, and Development Partners for drafting of an acceptable template for operations of artisanal /modular refining activities in Nigeria among others.

“The summit is jointly organized by Federal Ministry of Finance, Budget and National Planning in collaboration with the Presidency, Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the President, Niger Delta Affairs and Economic Diversification.”
