The Office of the Orimolusi-Elect has clarified an inadvertent mix up in the extant order of seniority among the five Second Class Kings in Ijebu Igbo, which occurred in the press statement the Office release to announce the courtesy visit the Orimolusi-Elect, Prince Lawrence Jaiyeoba Adedeji Tanimowo Adebajo, paid to the Awujale of Ijebuland, His Royal Majesty Oba Alaiyeluwa (Dr.) Sikiru Kayode Adetona, CFR.

While regretting the error and setting the record straight, Special Adviser to the Orimolusi-elect on Media and Strategy, Jide Seun Fowode wrote:
“It has been brought to our attention that the order in which the 5 Obas in Ijebu Igbo were listed in that report was faulty.
“Please be assured that the error was inadvertently made without prejudice to the established ranking of our highly respected Alaiyeluwas.
“For the records, the order of protocol is as follows: The Orimolusi of Ijebu Igbo, The Sopenlukale of Oke Sopen, The Olokine of Ojowo The Kegbo of Atokori, The Bejeroku of Oke Agbo and The Abijaparako of Japara.
“Going forward, we shall endeavour to follow this order.
“We thank all the Obas for their understanding, guidance, and tutelage, as we are assured of their unflinching co-operation towards peace and progress of our cherished town, Ijebu Igbo.
“Errors regretted.”
It is a great thing to hear that the error has been looked into and taken care of early enough. Great kudos to the Orimolusi-elect and his team.
God, almighty, will continued UE to shower His blessings on us all.
Thanks.
