“I’m happy that within the last one week, you recovered so many cows, especially those of you in Sector 7, 5 and 8, and less attacks. You have to intensify patrol and be more proactive in the conduct of your operation.”
The outgoing Commander also emphasized that they should continue to do their work effectively to ensure peace, not only in Plateau State, but in the nation as a whole.
Also, the new Commander, Maj-Gen. Ude, said: ” What we are here to do is to make sure that there is peace in Plateau State and there is nothing short of that.
Ude who was commissioned in 1984 said: “I make bold to say that this outfit is the most blessed outfit in the country; blessed in the sense that when the is need to arrest, the people that are constitutionally allowed to arrest are with us, the people that will prosecute are with us. So the issue of anybody turning himself to a local magistrate, extorting money is not there.
“Please for goodness sake, make sure you don’t do anything that will rubbish us. Remember not everybody is interested in the peace we are looking for, some people are looking for loopholes to rubbish us and it is my duty and yours to make sure that they don’t achieve their aim,” he stressed.
“I want to tell you people that I’m not an office person, I can visit your location at 1am, 2am. So everybody must sit up,” he warned.
