Plateau Task Force Declares Aminu Hanbane Wanted For Alleged Cattle Rustling

Sequel to series of operations conducted on the heels of the unrest bedevilling Bisichi community of Barkin Ladi Local Government of Plateau State, the Operation Safe Haven, (Op SH) saddled with the responsibility of maintaining peace in the state has declared one Aminu Hanbane wanted for gun running and cattle rustling.
This declaration was contained in a statement made available to journalists in Jos by Operation Safe Haven’s Media Officer, Captain Ikedichi Iweha.
The statement disclosed that Hanbane was wanted in connection with cattle rustling, proliferation of arms and attacks on communities in Barkin Ladi and Riyom local governments of the state.
Iweha added that the Operation’s Commander, Maj.-Gen. Tagbo Ude has put every measure in place to prevent a relapse of violence in the state. He urged anyone with useful information which could lead to the arrest of the suspect and any collaborators to volunteer such information.
The statement read: “The Operation Safe Haven, Op SH has declared one Aminu Hanbane wanted in connection with cattle rustling and the proliferation of arms in Barkin Ladi and Riyom in the hands of militia men.
“The Operation Safe Haven reiterates its readiness to respond to any act of criminality and all forms of threat reported to it promptly. It would like to solicit for information from members of the community in the discharge of their responsibility and assure that any information provided would be treated with confidentiality.
“Anyone with useful information which could lead to the arrest of the suspect and any known collaborators is requested to come forward with such information to the Headquarters of Operation Safe Haven in Jos or any of its sector headquarters especially at Barkin Ladi, Riyom and Jos South Local Government Councils.”
