In an effort to boost the revenue base of the local government due to economic recession facing the country and create job opportunities, Chairman Hong Local Government Council of Adamawa state, Halilu Lala, has resuscitated the moribund Hong cattle market.
According to the Council Chairman, the resuscitation of the cattle market will cement the existing relationship among those transacting business at the market, following their return after terrorists had wreak havoc in the area recently, forcing the residents to flee.

He said a borehole has been sunk and cattle feeds provided at the market for the cattle brought to the market for sale, while a veterinary officer has been stationed to look after the health of the animals.

Lala gave assurance that everything possible will be done to ensure the survival of the cattle market for the benefit of the people and development of the area.
