The management of Nasarawa state polytechnic, Lafia has promised to transform the institution to meet international standard.
Rector of the polytechnic, Dr. Silas Gyan, stated this recently during an interview in Lafia the state Capital.
According to him, the institution in recent time has recorded great achievements in both infrastructural and manpower development, adding that students of the polytechnic are been trained in a way that on completion they can compete favourably with graduates from well recognized tertiary institutions World Wide.
He said the state government’s positive response to education matters in the area contributed greatly to the upliftment of the institution.
Dr. Gyan who revealed that over 17 courses run by the polytechnic in OND level have been accredited and one out of the two HND level approved, assured that management was working hard to ensure that all programmes in the institution are giving accreditation by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE) in no distance time.
He charged students of the polytechnic to be committed to their study and avoid all forms of social vices.
