Pledges To Mobilize Colleagues

Ahead of the inauguration of the 10th National Assembly, the governor of Osun state, Senator Ademola Adeleke has vowed to mobilize his governors-colleague to actualize the aspiration of Ahmed Idris Wase as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Adeleke made the pledge when Wase came to the residence of the Osun governor to consolidate his earlier consultation he had with him at the home of former Kebbi governor, Adamu Aliero.

Wase was at the governor’s residence with an entourage of current members of the House of Representatives as well as incoming freshmen of the House.

According to Governor Adeleke, his choice of Wase was based on the recommendation of Aliero with whom he enjoys confidentiality and political collaboration.

Adeleke stated: “We don’t belong to the same party; it is immaterial. But when it was time to constitute the last National Assembly leadership and you agreed with your party to step down for their choice, it means you are a man of integrity and character; you have shown character. That means ‘Wase lokan’.”

Governor Adeleke continued: “You are highly recommended by former Governor and Senator Aliero, someone I respect so much and we have collaborated on many occasions while we were together in the 8th Senate. He has told me you are eminently qualified and I believe him.

“Be rest assured, please. Osun state is for you and I will personally talk to my colleagues to ensure we deliver you as Speaker”, Adeleke stressed.
