Ribadu College Gets Kudos For Quality Education In Adamawa

The Ahmadu Ribadu College, Yola, has been commended for its contribution to quality education in Adamawa State.
The Grand Khadi of Adamawa State Shariah Court of Appeal, Justice Mohammed Mahmood, gave the commendation at the 10th Graduation ceremony, speech and prize giving day of the college in Yola.
Mahmood, who was the chairman of the occasion, said Ribadu College has made its mark as one of the leading private schools in Adamawa State that has maintained standard.
Mahmood, who was represented at the occasion by the Registrar Shariah Court of Appeal, Barrister Hashimu Suleiman, urged government to assist such colleges where necessary for them to continue to sustain the tempo in providing quality education.
He lauded the school initiative of providing meals and transportation to students during school hours, saying the measures would go a long way in helping students concentrate on their studies.
The grand Khadi also urged private schools to endeavour to place humanitarian interest above profit in their operations.
In his speech, the Administrator of the college, Alhaji Nazeef Isa Ahmed, said in spite of security challenges in the North East that affected the state, the college was able to cover its curriculum.
Ahmed said that the school also focused on capacity building for teachers and management staff to equip them with skills required to deliver in their jobs.
“Students were also trained on IT skills and were involved in the development of the college new website. They were also able to animate a local folktale in collaboration with IT professionals,” Isa said.
Highlight of the graduation ceremony was the presentation of certificates and prizes to deserving students by the Dan Galadima of Adamawa, Alhaji Lawan Ribadu, who was assisted by other dignitaries including the District Head of Mayo-Belwa, Alhaji Mohammed Bamanga.
