Governor Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa state has maintained that his administration is out to work for the people of the state, and that resources belonging to the state would not be shared among some select individuals in Adamawa under his charge.
According to Bindow, some elites in the state who are not happy about the level of physical infrastructure development being recorded in the state are frustrating his efforts because he remains adamant on not sharing the state’s resources.
Bindow said this while addressing hundreds of people in the state gathered at the Government House during a courtesy call on him for the Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
He insisted that the state’s wealth was meant for “work and nothing but work for the people.”
“Some people in the state are not happy and comfortable with my administration just because I refused to share the state’s resources – your money – among them. They are now frustrating my government with all forms of attacks,” he said.
He said that despite the fact that the country was reeling from a bad economic crunch, Adamawa had awarded the construction of Shelleng and Ganye roads which suffered years of neglect by previous governments.
He call on the local government staff to be grateful with the efforts the state government made to have e-payment salaries structure, which will stop salaries delays and solve the problem of unpaid salaries and part payment.
He enjoined the people of the state to support his good intention for the actualization of the dreams and vision of the Bindow for Social Change (BSC), which is geared towards radical changes in the state.
