The Management of the Kaduna State College of Education (KSCOE) has suspended till further notice, academic and administrative activities at its permanent site Gidan Waya and directed Students to vacate the premises.
According to announcement monitored on the Kaduna State Media Corporation, Rockside FM Station Kafanchan on Monday afternoon, which was issued by the College Management, stated that due to serious security threat in Gidan Waya and its surrounding Communities, Which has hampered academic and administrative activities of the institution made the Kaduna State Government to order the suspension.
Assuring that government was doing all within its ability, to restore peace and order to facilitate resumption of academic activities, the announcement, directed staff, academic and Non–academic, to be reporting for work at the Kafanchan Campus of the College.
The announcement also indicated that the suspension does not affect teaching practice supervision, activities of the staff primary school in Kafanchan and the preparation for mock examinations by the IJMB unit of the Institution.
Members of the College Community and the general public were advised to remain calm and shun rumour peddling, the announcement added.
