The Sokoto state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) has rated Governor Ahmed Aliyu high in character, knowledge and delivery of dividends of democracy to the entire state within just seven months of his administration.

Addressing select newsmen Friday at the state party headquarters, chairman of the party, Hon. Isa Sadiq Acida, said the governor at 54 cannot be said to be too young or old.

According to Acida, none in Sokoto and beyond would be surprised by the extent of developmental projects executed and still ongoing within just 7 months because the governor is a student of Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko’s political ideology of good governance.

The state APC chairman, who submitted that Governor Aliyu’s excellent performance in the areas of human capital development and infrastructure has made him a toast of all, added that he is optimistic that there will be no opposition political party in Sokoto before 2027.

“Your Excellency sir, we are eager to thank you most sincerely for vindicating us. Your track record of performance within the past seven months has shown to the nation and the world that with a committed and patriotic leadership, our state has the potential to take its rightful place as a model for others to emulate”, Acida enthused.

While commending Governor Aliyu for reviving the payment of stipends to Imams, the less-privileged and those with disability, the state APC chairman said the governor has also proved cynics wrong hence always around in the state.

The leadership of Sokoto APC also eulogises Governor Aliyu for not only setting up the Community Guard Corps but also ensuring adequate transport and armament for them.

This, they said, “is another giant stride to end banditry and enthrone a secure and peaceful Sokoto State within the year 2024 In Sha Allah'”.
