From Julius B. Kezi, Kaduna
People in Southern Kaduna have been assured of the rebirth of the area, as God has taken over the security, peace and development challenges they were facing.
Visioner/President, Throne Room Ministry International, Apostle Emmanuel Nuhu Kure gave the prophecy at the end of a one-week prayer and fasting period for the area, Kaduna State and Nigeria.
Apostle Kure said the emerging spate of terrorism, leading to colossal loss of lives and property in the area required divine intervention, hence all hands of patriots should be on deck in fervent prayers and fasting, for the Supreme Creator of the universe to provide solution to the escalating violence.
Reading from the Holy Bible, Psalm 24 and Deuteronomy 29, the Clergyman said people should ask God’s forgiveness of sins, mercy and grace to stand in the gap for the nation, especially in hard times such as the ones being experienced.
Speaking on the security, peace, political and economic challenges facing the nation, particularly the siege by terrorists attacks on Southern Kaduna since April 2016, Apostle Kure quoted the scriptures said, “he/she that hideth his/her sins, shall not prosper as evil spirits are using some people to invade the land”.
In a sermon, Bishop Marcus Dogo of the Anglican Diocese of Kafanchan, haven read Ephesians 1:15-13, 2:7-END, also made references to the Books of Judges, harped on repentance from sins, saying “peace is not spoken words only, but much more; we should work out in deeds, for actualization, for wellbeing and development of society.
Positing that those who do not forgive offenders are agents of the devil, Bishop Marcus Dogo said people need to fight and defeat idolatry, immorality, drunkenness and poverty to pave way for development.
According to him, the Church needs mercy, wisdom, revelation and deep knowledge of God, with deliberate steps in Sunday school teaching of children, church and world history to enable, them survive and prosper now and in future.
Prayers were offered on repentance of sins, insurgencies, poverty, idolatry, immorality, drunkenness and laziness. There were also prayers for God’s intervention on the nation’s peace, social and economic challenges, especially in southern Kaduna and Kaduna State.
The event was attended by Clergymen, the Senator Representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, and Dr. Danjuma La’ah, traditional paramount rulers, District Heads, SOKAPU, Community Development Associations, Civil Society Groups, lawyers and politicians across all parties, within and outside Kaduna State.
