The Taraba State Government says it would soon employ a reasonable number of unemployed youths into the state civil service to reduce unemployment in the state.
State Commissioner of Information, Anthony Danburan, stated this in Jalingo, the state capital while fielding question from journalists.
He said as part of Governor Darius Dickson’s administration effort towards fulfilling its campaign promises to the people, recently the state government lifted embargo on employment in the state among other women and youth empowerment programmes to enable them become self-reliance.
Danburan stressed the need for the federal government to shun political differences and carry every one along in order to find a lasting solution to the problems facing the nation.
The commissioner however, applauded the role of the media in nation-building and appealed to them not to allow themselves to be used by greedy politicians to achieve their selfish interest.
He called on Nigerians to imbibe the spirit tolerance irrespective of their differences to move the country forward.
