A startling incident unfolded on Thursday 19 June, 2025 during President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s visit to Kaduna State, where he was commissioning developmental projects, including the 300-bed Bola Ahmed Tinubu Specialist Hospital and a fleet of 100 Compressed Natural Gas buses.

A viral video circulating on social media captured a tense moment when an unidentified man attempted to breach security and approach the President while he was delivering a speech at a public reception.

The footage shows President Tinubu visibly startled as the individual made a sudden move toward the stage, prompting swift intervention by security operatives. The man was quickly subdued and removed from the scene, allowing the President to regain composure and continue his address.

Posts on X described the incident as an “invasion” by an “angry supporter,” with some users noting Tinubu’s evident fear, while others praised the alertness of his security team. One post humorously remarked, “See as Tinubu wan run for his life,” reflecting the public’s mixed reactions.

The event occurred during Tinubu’s rescheduled visit to Kaduna, initially planned for Wednesday but postponed to Thursday to accommodate an urgent trip to Benue State to address recent deadly attacks.

In Kaduna, Tinubu commended Governor Uba Sani for transformative projects, describing the state’s progress as a shift from a “toxic environment” to one of development.

Security was heightened across Kaduna, with combined forces of the Nigerian Police, NSCDC and military ensuring safety.

Authorities have not released details about the individual’s motives or identity, and the incident has sparked discussions about political tensions and public safety.

The presidency has yet to issue an official statement, but the viral video continues to fuel debates online about Tinubu’s leadership and public reception.
