From Tom Garba, Yola
Adamawa State Governor, Jibrila Bindow, has commended the support of President Muhammadu Buhari and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal, for the procurement of hundreds of tricycles to be distributed to local councils most affected by insurgency in the state.
” I am grateful to our father, the President of this nation, Muhammadu Buhari and our brother who is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Engr. Babachir David Lawal, for being the brains behind the procurement of these tricycles for our brothers and sisters who have been displaced by incessant attacks by Boko Haram.”
During the distribution of the tricycles to the beneficiaries at Ribadu Square in Yola, Bindow reminded them of APC mantra of change, which he said was geared toward poverty alleviation.
The gesture targeted only people from the seven most affected local councils destroyed by Boko Haram, namely Gombi, Hong, Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha, Michika and Madagali.
Some of the beneficiaries thank the governor and pledged to work hard to revive the economy of their areas.
