His Highness, the Ere Koro I of Koro Chiefdom in Kagarko Local Government, Kaduna State, Mr. Yohanna Akaito, has said truth produces justice, forgiveness, peace, victory and progress for any individual, family, community or nation.
The Ere Koro made the remarks at G.S.S. Kagarko, during the inauguration of executive members of Koro youth development association, Kaduna state chapter/ merit award to illustrious indigenes of Koro nation.
The traditional ruler said, “If there is no fear of God, then there shall be no truth, justice, forgiveness, peaceful coexistence, victory and development for an individual, his family, community and nation”.
Appreciating the foresight of the youth in championing the unity of the Koro people in Nigeria, the monarch blessed them, saying “the unity of the Koro People, will enable us progress and contribute to national development. So, do not relent in the fight against all forms of discrimination that tend to divide the nation”.
In his goodwill message, Vice Chairman, Interim Management Council, Kagarko Local Government, Mr. Darius Kurah, who also represented the council chairman, Alh. Shehu Musa Tafa, the member of the Kaduna state House of Assembly for Kachia/Kagarko constituency, Mr. Nuhu M. Goroh, said they were proud to be Koro people as the community is known for peace and hardwork.
They enjoined the youth as future leaders to use their youth in the service of God and humanity, assuring that the council will mobilize resources for the construction of Ere koro Palace, which land has been acquired.
The stakeholders urged politicians to shun ethnic, religious and political difference, which was responsible for dis-unity and under-development of Koro community, Kaduna state and Nigeria as a Nation.
Dr. Kurah Ayuba, an academician/consultant said the strength of any community depends on the education and economic prosperity of its youth, hence the need for Koro youth to seek knowledge and skills acquisition for their empowerment and wellbeing.
He urged people of the community to guard the peaceful co-existence jealously for the improvement of the development of the chiefdom.
Dr. Ayuba advised the youth as future leaders to respect elders, those in leadership positions and the laws of the country.
In an acceptance speech while being inaugurated, Comrade Simon A. Danbaki on behalf of other executives of Koro Youth Development Association glorified God and appreciated the Community for the confidence reposed in them, promising to work harder for the unity and development of the chiefdom.
He revealed that through the Association, many youth have gained admission to further their education in tertiary institutions across the country.
In a welcome address, Comrade Anthony Jatau appreciated the dignitaries for their presence, describing the development as an act of love for the progress of the youth. The occasion was climaxed by presentation of merit awards to His Highness, the Ere Koro I , Mr. Yohanna Akaito and Dr. Kurah Ayuba.
Other dignitaries that graced the occasion included Alh. Musa Mohammed Ijakoro, the Emir of Bwari, FCT Abuja and Hon. Danjuma Akuso, former Chairman Kagarko Local Government and ALGON chairman Kaduna State, among others.
