UNIUYO Pharmacy Programme Gets Full Accreditation

The National Universities Commission (NUC) has granted full accreditation to the University of Uyo (Uniuyo) Pharmacy programme.
A letter from the NUC signed by the Deputy Executive Secretary, conveying the results of the 2015 accreditation of academic programmes in Nigerian universities to the vice chancellor of the UNIUYO, Professor Comfort Ekpo, said the “pharmacy programme has been granted full accreditation status valid for a period of five years”.
A further breakdown of the accreditation result indicates that the university scored 78.8percent covering academic contents, staffing, physical facilitates, library, employers rating and other criteria which have elevated the university of Uyo pharmacy programme to the apogee of pharmaceutical practice in Nigeria.
Meanwhile, arrangements have been concluded for the induction of the 12th set of University of Uyo Pharmacy graduates.
The event is scheduled for Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at the Onyema Ugochukwu auditorium in the town campus of the university. The induction ceremony will be conducted by the registrar, pharmacists’ Council of Nigeria (PCN), Mr. N. A. E Mohammed. The council had earlier granted full professional accreditation to the University of Uyo.
