Wazobia FM Abuja Celebrates, Donates To Orphans On Children’s Day

It was a historic day of joy at Kuje Area Council in thev Federal Capital Territory (FCT) when a cream of fans, supporters and associates of the Wazobia FM Abuja, led by the Head of Stations, Mrs. Ebele Yough, stormed the area in a motorcade to celebrate Children’s Day with the children of Christ Orphanage Foundation in Abuja on Sunday.
The motorcade of the head of stations, Mrs. Ebele, arrived the Christ Orphanage Foundation’s ground at exactly 3:37pm amidst jubilation by the entire community, which was enthusiastic to receive Mrs. Yough and her entourage.
Residents of the area turned up in their numbers to catch a glimpse of some On Air Personalities (OAPs) or Presenters of the Wazobia FM, like Expensive, Bigmo, Lady G, Ayele Princess and others.
On her arrival, Mrs. Yough and entourage were conducted round the Christ Orphanage Foundationsl by the founders of the foundation, Mr. and Mrs. Kuta, to inspect the facilities.

Addressing the mammoth cloud, Mrs. Yough said she was delighted to be at the foundation and promised to visit the home regularly. She said her visit signalled the beginning of good things to come for the home.
Mrs. Yough said: “On behalf of the management of Wazobia FM and friends, we like to say a big thank you to all of you, especially the children here. Special appreciation goes out to the Christ Foundation orphanage, the mother of the house, the father of the house for doing it well for us, brilliantly”.
She called for synergy between Wazobia FM and its fans within and outside Abuja to continue to bring succour, to the children to sustain what Wazobia FM has started because the station cannot do it all alone.
Her words: “We just want you to know that this is not the last time we’ll be here. We will be here again and again. What we have started, we will complete it. But you must put your hands together for it to end well.
“And to all of you, who come with us and who are here, to be part of this historic visit, we want to said, thank you for making up time to be here. Wazobia FM recognises you, appreciats you and we really love you”.
The entire arena came alive with the chanting of “E”-“X”-“P”:”EXPENSIVE”, slogan, when the River state born star presenter and on air personality, James Expensive, took his turn behind the microphone to address the crowd.

In his grinned address, Mr. Expensive said although the event was taking place on democracy day, Wazobia FM considered it important to extend children’s day celebration to the orphanage home to show love to them.
He said people asked God for blessing but tend to forget blessing others with what they have. He encouraged people to reach out to the needy no matter how little they have “because God encourages us to be our brother’s keeper and we should love our neighbours as ourselves.”
Expensive, who spoke in Pidgin English, said there was nothing more important than preaching love through cheerful giving to those in need.

According to him, he did not believe the notion that the children of Christ Orphanage Foundation were orphans anymore because they have plenty parents like Wazobia FM, who can cater for their needs.
He expressed his profound gratitude to the proprietor and proprietress of Christ Orphanage Foundation, Mr. and Mrs. Kuta, G. for taking care of the 57 children in the orphanage.
In his welcoming address, the proprietor, Mr. Kuta, G. thanked God for making it possible for them to witness the historic visit by the Wazobia FM Family, led by the Head of Stations, Mrs. Ebele and her amiable presenters.
He said what Wazobia FM had done was a great help to Christ Foundation Orphanage and prayed to God to reward them accordingly.
He said the Foundation has about 57 children who were schooling from nursery to tertiary level. Out of this, five are undergraduate students at the university.
He said this feat was achieved due to the support the Foundation garnered from well-meaning individuals and corporate organisations like Wazobia FM had done, and expressed thanked his wife for supporting the Foundation.
Highlights of the visit included presentation of cultural dance, drama, songs and other attractions by the children of the Foundation as a mark of honour to their guests-visitor.
Two truck-loads of various items, including bags of rice, beverages, clothes, foot wears, cartons of noodles, tissues, biscuits, cups, plates and other, were presented to the children in the orphanage by Mrs. Yough and her team to mark the Children’s Day celebrations.
