From Tom Garba, Yola
The Deputy Governor of Adamawa state, Engr. Marthins Babale, has assured that the state government under the leadership of Governor Umaru Jibrilla Bindow would do everything within its power to lift the 85 per cent of residents living in abject poverty out of their quagmire.
Babale gave the assurance while fielding questions from journalists during Sallah homage at the Government House in Yola. He stressed the need for peaceful coexistence among the many difference religion and ethnics groups in the state.
“Our Government don’t want the 85 per cent lower class to remain in abject poverty. We’ll create and give them jobs, give children good education, create vocational centres and provide social amenities for them,” he said.
Marthins, who also posted the same message on his Facebook page, call for earnest prayers for Governor Bindow to succeed in delivering the good policies of his government in line with party manifestos which is geared toward total change.
