The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, has warned against insidious actions by anybody or group in the state.
The governor, who was peeved by a protest carried out by members of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State Of Biafra (MASSOB) in Port -Harcourt on Wednesday, warned that such demonstrations will not be condoned by his administration.
Emphasizing the indivisibility of Nigeria, the governor said the actions of the MASSOB members were capable of causing chaos in the state.
In statement by his Special Adviser, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, the governor warned that as the chief security officer of the state who swore to protect lives and property, he would not tolerate actions that could lead to the breakdown of law and order in the state.
Dissociating himself and the state from the protest, Governor Wike warned legal machinery would be set in motion against any group that would disrupt the peace in the state.
He enjoined residents of state to go about their lawful duties and assured them of their safety.
