Theater Commader of the Joint Task Force of Operation Fassan Yamma, (OPFY) in the North West, Maj.Gen. Warrah Idris, has charged his troops to sustain aggressive neutralisation of terrorists in the region and the country at large.

Addressing the troops, Warrah said: “I am here to tell you that we are not here to play football or dance but to eradicate completely, completely, I repeat, the issue of banditry in this region and in our country at large. It is our duty to protect civilians, to protect citizens. Therefore, we must bring back peace and security in the North West region and in Nigeria as a whole”.

Warrah stressed that the troops’ onslaught against terrorism must continue with high intensity to ensure complete eradication of all terrorists and protect civilians

While stressing that training, discipline and adherence to regimentation are critical areas of ensuring military successes, Warrah charged the troops to be up to the task as ordered by the Sector Commander.

He reminded the troops to always have it at the back of their mind that their welfare was of topmost priority hence the need for them to reciprocate by putting in their best.

“You all know that those injured are properly and adequately taken care of. So when you move out for these operations, give your best, knowing fully well that whatever happens, the Armed Forces are ready to take care of you,” Warrah stressed.
