Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed, has reiterated his administration’s commitment to pursuing zero tolerance for drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
Ahmed, in a statement issued to mark this year’s International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, noted that his administration’s resolve to rid the state of drug cells and abuse remain unshaken as strategies have been developed to ensure that access and abuse of illicit substances are checked.
According to the governor, ”my administration’s cooperation and assistance to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency and other security agencies on the task of curbing Drug Abuse and illicit trafficking would be sustained”.
Governor Ahmed, who described Kwara youth as the future of the state, emphasized that hoodlums arrested recently in Ilorin, the state capital would go through due process of the law while unemployed youths in the state would be availed entrepreneurship development
opportunities.
