World War II

Annihilating feral war
Inflicted on feuding Europe
By deluding professors of Nazism
Terrific was rain of bullet;
Bombing and bombardment
Like Blitzkrieg,
That came in wake
It was mother of all wars
With atomic bomb in Hiroshima, Nagasaki

As it lasted, great foreboding loomed
Some thought it was Armageddon
Humanity and environment wept
It cost lives of Jews, many others
In concentration and extermination camps
Man was cannibalized by man
Europe was rocked to foundation
By invading soldiers of evil
That took gentle world by storm

It had tentacles with far reaches
Had allies in militarist and fascist capitals
Warsaw saw and bled
Pearl Habor was forcefully deflowered
It was pseudo Armageddon in rehearsal
Cloud and firmament ever darkened
By endless evaporating lit blood
Red Army in Stalin strength waned
It raged and ravaged, raped and ransacked
Vampired blood of Jews and many
Until American atomic bomb …
