The All Progressive Congress (APC) has refuted claims that it has adjusted its primaries timetable ahead of the 2023 General Elections.
National Publicity Secretary, APC, Barr Felix Morka, issued the clarification on Tuesday, 17th May 2022 in Abuja via a statement.
Morka wrote: “Our attention has been drawn to a story of purported adjustment to the All Progressives Congress (APC) Timetable/ Schedule of Activities for the 2023 General Elections which is making the rounds on social media. The story should be disregarded as fake news.
“The Party’s Timetable/Schedule of Activities for the 2023 elections remain as earlier published:
“Governorship – Friday, 20th of May, 2022.
“State House of Assembly – Sunday, 22nd of May, 2022.
“House of Representatives – Tuesday, 24th of May, 2022.
“Senate – Wednesday, 25th of May 2022.
“Presidential – Monday, 30th of May to June 1st, 2022.
“Should an adjustment become necessary, such changes will be communicated via our official communication channels.”
Meanwhile, the APC has announced date for the inauguration of Chairpersons and Secretaries of Screening Committees for State House of Assembly Aspirants/ Special Congress Committees to Elect Local Government, State and National Delegates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as follows:
“Date: Tuesday, May 17th, 2022;Time: 9 am. Venue: International Conference Centre (ICC), Abuja.”
