A set of notorious twitter trolls led by a supposedly Diasporan Nigerian, Ms. Iyabo Sokoya (twitter handle @iyaboawokoya), nicknamed “Iyabo Poverty” or “Mama Poverty” and all allegedly working for the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), have written their names in eternal infamy for trolling a dentist, Dr. Chinelo Nwando Megafu, as she lay dying in Monday’s terrorist attack on the Abuja-Kaduna rail line.

 Dr. Chinelo’s ordeal started at 9.43pm on 28, March, 2022 when she tweeted the short message “I’m in the train. I have been shot please pray for me.”

Almost immediately, some vile twitter users began to doubt the young lady’s tweet, saying she was lying about her situation for clout-chasing sake.

   When it eventually turned out that Dr. Chinelo actually died in the terrorist attack, many user of the micro-news site turned on Ms. Sokoya and her friends on the app like Gbenga Gold, Prince Boye, Woye and Ishaka, alleging that their cruel replies taunting the dying doctor must have hastened her demise.

  The Dream Daily Newspaper chose not to publish the vile tweets sent in reply to Dr. Chinelo’s SOS in order not to further traumatize her loved ones.

  However, below are some of the counter-abuse twitter users sent out to Dr. Chinelo’s abusers:

@BarrTailorson

Know their names 1. Gbenga Gold, 2.Iyabo Awokoya (AKA Mama Poverty), 3. Woye 4. Ishaka They are Buhari’s supporters and Tinubu’s fans too who mocked Dr. Chinelo. They are worst than Murderers. don’t ever forget their names. #JusticeForChinelo

@General_bachel

Gbenga Gold, Iyabo Awokoya (Mama Poverty), Woye & Ishaka are some Buhari supporters & SW APC who mocked Dr. Chinelo for alerting us of the imminent treat to her life. They equally led the #EndSARS Lekki Tollgate Killings denials. Remember their names, don’t ever forget them!

@deeabimbola

After spewing vile on the TL, she’ll go and lock her account. May good things be locked out of your life Iyabo. Wicked woman! Mama poverty…Eleya mummy

@Omagxii

Can’t believe people who call themselves citizens mocked a fellow citizen (Dr. Chinelo) after she was shot by terrorists. Same Iyabo lady who’s in the UK but seriously advocating 4 poverty for people in Nigeria right on this app? Truly, many are without souls. RIP Chinelo

@Ballzmclongcock

There’s a degree of evil you need as a prerequisite to join the APC, iyabo aka mummy poverty has a first degree in this. What a cold world!!

@ThisIsPOU

Iyabo Awokoya aka Mama Poverty. The woman that mocked #EndSARS protesters and denied anyone was killed. Same woman mocked the lady that was shot & killed in the Abj-Kdn train incidence. She is not qualified to teach Sunday School

@DanielRegha

It’s sad how people have normalised being insensitive on social media; Someone posted she was shot & politely asked for prayers but some people instead of showing empathy, chose to be dumb-dumb. The net is truly toxic. RIP to all who died during the Kaduna-Abuja train attack.

@AnaEgbuAchala1

Well, She’s dead now!!! All of you that said she’s chasing clouth, may this same fate happen to you and may people laugh at you when you’re dying.

@mrmacaronii

Those same set of people that attacked the late Chinelo are the same set that attacked and trolled me when the police brutalized me. These are sycophants who are loyal only to their political gods. They care not for this country and have no conscience whatsoever left in them.

@ShehuSani

We all need to wear a T-shirt with the quotation of Dr Chinelo Megafu’s last tweet.

@EAE_Africa

I’m in the train. I have been shot please pray for me. – Chinelo Megafu All she did was ask for our prayer’s She didn’t commit any crime. #RIPChinelo

@Sports_Doctor2

Today, 30th March 2022 is “Nigeria’s National Doctors Day” It’s only right to dedicate this day to one of our own, Dr. Chinelo who was killed yesterday. She represents the everyday struggle of the average Nigerian doctor. R.I.P Dr. Nelo, Nigeria didn’t deserve you.
