After much Shenanigans, including running to court to seek frivolous injunctions and gaslighting the whole country over his alleged forgery of a University of Nigeria (UNN) first degree certificate among others, Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology, Uche Nnaji, has finally resigned from his appointment in disgrace.
Consequently, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has accepted his resignation, according to a statement by presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, on Tuesday, 7 October, 2025.
According to Onanuga, “President Tinubu appointed Nnaji in August 2023. He resigned in a letter thanking the President for allowing him to serve Nigeria.
“Nnaji said he has been a target of blackmail by political opponents. President Tinubu thanked him for his service and wished him well in future endeavours.”
Beyond this resignation, Nigerians are calling for Nnaji’s prosecution for the alleged forgery as applicable in the country’s laws.
