Founder/ Proprietor, International Sports Institute Education Trust GTE, Prof. Oluwaseun Omotayo, has lauded all stakeholders in Ogun State for the completion of the Gateway Airport and commencement of commercial flights in the airport by ValueJet Airline, owned by the Ijebu business mogul, Otunba Kunle Soname, on Tuesday 7 October, 2025.
Omotayo listed former Ogun State Governor, Gbenga Daniel and the incumbent, Prince Dapo Abiodun, for especial mention for the successful construction and deployment of the airport.
Prof. Omotayo said: “The completion of the Gateway Airport Iperu and commencement of flight operations is indeed the actualisation of an Otunba Gbenga Daniel (OGD) Vision. The completion of the Airport Project by H.E Dapo Abiodun is highly commendable as it is nothing but a demonstration of the fact that governance is a continuum.
“Kudos to H.E Dapo Abiodun for this realisation and for completing The project for the good of the people of Ogun State. The history of the airport which was conceived by Otunba Gbenga Daniel as a cargo airport cannot be wished away as it is the contagious status of the vision of Otunba Gbenga Daniel that caused the completion of the airport project. The visioner years back, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, deserves to be appreciated and adequately recognised under the time-tested psychology construct of Recognition of Essence philosophy.
